Racist graffiti has been sprayed onto the walls of a house in east Belfast and a window and a door pane were smashed in an overnight attack.

It happened at Wayland Street, off the Castlereagh Road, at about 01:00 BST on Monday.

The occupants, two Nigerian men, had moved in last week, although they have been living and working in Belfast for some years.

They were out at the time of the attack.

Police have appealed for witnesses.
