Two hurt in separate attacks in Ballynahinch

A 22-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man have been injured in unconnected assaults in Ballynahinch, County Down.

Police were called to Hillcrest Drive at about 04:30 BST, following a report that two men were attacking the woman.

She was taken to hospital and officers arrested two 22-year-old men. One was released unconditionally and the other was released pending a PPS report.

The 36-year-old man was assaulted at a bus stop in Windmill Street. He was taken to hospital with a head injury.
