Woman arrested after arms found in dissident investigation

A 32-year-old woman has been arrested by police investigating dissident republican activity.

She has been taken to Antrim serious crime suite for questioning.

The arrest follows a search in the Beechwood area of Londonderry, where a quantity of munitions and explosives were uncovered.

The search was carried out by detectives from the PSNI's Serious Crime Branch.

On Sunday, a gun and ammunition were found in Cookstown, County Tyrone, as part of an investigation into dissident republican activity.
