Description of Laurel Glen rapist issued

Police investigating the rape of a teenage girl in west Belfast at the weekend have issued a description of the man they believe was responsible.

The attack happened at Laurel Glen, off the Stewartstown Road, on Saturday night.

The man is described as being 25-30 years old, 6ft tall, of medium build with a local accent.

He had fair hair, stubble and bushy eyebrows and was wearing a dark coat and dark denim jeans.

The man is believed to have assaulted his victim at about 20:30 BST.

Police are asking anyone with information about the man or anyone who saw the teenage girl walking in the area either alone or in his company to contact detectives at the Rape Crime Unit on 0845 600 8000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
