Gas leak leads to homes being evacuated in Lisburn

About 30 homes were evacuated in Lisburn, County Antrim, due to a gas leak on Tuesday night.

The police and firefighters went to the scene of the incident at Longstone Street in the city.

People who had to leave their homes were moved to Lagan Valley Leisureplex.

Motorists were advised to avoid the area. Other people living in the area were told to close windows and doors.
