Where do we get the salt for Northern Ireland's roads?


Barra Best takes a look at how a salt mine in County Antrim provides the salt for spreading on Northern Ireland's network of roads.

The salt mine, just outside Carrickfergus, reported a rise in demand for salt to keep the roads clear from ice and snow, although not in the same scale as the big freeze of 2010.
