6,500 litres of red diesel seized in Newtownabbey and Lurgan

Nearly 7,000 litres of fuel and six forecourt pumps have been seized at filling stations in counties Antrim and Armagh.

It follows an operation targeting fuel fraud by Customs officers on Thursday.

They visited two retail sites in Newtownabbey and Lurgan and seized 6,500 litres of red diesel and removed four forecourt pumps.

Two diesel forecourt pumps and a fuel storage tank were also removed from a third retail site in Glarryford.
