Pipe bomb found in security alert in north Belfast

A pipe bomb has been found on the Forthriver Road in north Belfast.

Army bomb experts were called to examine a suspicious object on Thursday evening and roads were closed in the area.

They have now reopened.

Police said the device was viable and had been taken away for examination.
