Pipe bomb thrown at police patrol in Belfast

A pipe bomb has been thrown at a police patrol in north Belfast, the police have said.

Officers found the device on Thursday morning after a search in the Old Park Road.

The road was closed for a time while Army bomb disposal officers examined the device.

There are no further details at the moment.
