Jason McGovern death: Mark Donnelly charged with manslaughter
A 21-year-old man has appeared in court in Dungannon charged with the manslaughter of County Monaghan teenager Jason McGovern.
Mr McGovern, 19, of Tydavnet, was attacked twice in Omagh, County Tyrone. He was found dead hours later at a friend's house on New Year's Eve.
A police officer said he believed he could connect Mark Donnelly, of Greencastle Road, Omagh, to the charge.
Bail was granted with conditions.
No further details of the incident or why Mr Donnelly has been linked to the death were disclosed at Dungannon Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
Deputy District Judge Gerry Trainor set bail at £1,000, with a £10,000 surety and banned the accused from entering Omagh except to see his GP, sign bail with police or attend court.
He was also ordered not to consume alcohol, abide by a curfew from 9pm to 6am, have no contact with any co-accused or witnesses, and must not leave Northern Ireland without the consent of the court.
Five people, including Mr Donnelly, have previously been charged with affray in connection with the death.
An 18-year-old man, arrested on Tuesday, has been released unconditionally.
Mr Donnelly is to appear again at Omagh Magistrates Court in March.
