An man has been arrested by police in Australia in connection with the murders of a couple who were set on fire at a house in County Armagh.

Thomas O'Hare, 33, and Lisa McClatchey, 21, were beaten with hammers and doused in petrol before being set alight at their home on Foley Road in Tassagh, near Keady, in 2006.

The pair later died in hospital.

An Armagh man, 30, is due in court in Sydney on Friday for the start of extradition proceedings.

He was arrested following a request from the Police Service of Northern Ireland to assist with the murder investigation.

Two brothers have already appeared in court charged with the murders and with arson.
