Belfast dog ban consultation extended

A row is brewing between pet owners and Belfast city council over plans to ban dogs from areas like playing fields and cemeteries to try to prevent fouling.

The council has put the new proposal out to public consultation and says it has had so much feedback that it is extending the period for a further six weeks.
