Four charged over Coalisland 'witness intimidation'

Four men have been charged in connection with the alleged intimidation of a witness in a court case, the police have said.

The men, aged 29, 31, 42 and 45, will appear in court in Strabane on Thursday. The 29-year-old will also face a charge of breaching bail.

The alleged intimidation took place in Coalisland on Tuesday.

Police are continuing to appeal for information about the movements of a Belfast private hire taxi.

The silver Volvo S70 is believed to have travelled to Coalisland from the Belfast area.

Its registration number is V620 EWB and it had an Eagle taxi sign on its roof.

Police want to hear from anyone who saw the car between 18:00 GMT in Belfast and midnight in Coalisland.
