Four men have been arrested following the alleged intimidation of a witness in a court case.

The alleged intimidation took place at about 20:00 GMT on Tuesday night in the Moor Road area of Coalisland.

Three men forced their way into a house and made threats to a 35-year-old man. They ran off when he challenged them.

Police are appealing for information about the movements of a Belfast private hire taxi as part of their investigation.

The silver Volvo S70 is believed to have travelled to Coalisland from the Belfast area.

Its registration number is V 620 EWB and it had an Eagle taxi sign on its roof.

Police want to hear from anyone who saw the Volvo, between 18:00 GMT in Belfast and midnight in Coalisland, particularly in the Moor Road and Washingbay Road areas.

Four men, aged 29, 31, 42 and 45 were arrested by police in Coalisland early on Wednesday and are being questioned about the incident.
