Man in 70s assaulted and robbed in Antrim

A man in his 70s has been treated in hospital after being assaulted and robbed in Antrim on Tuesday night.

Some time before 20:00 GMT, the victim was in his parked car in Stiles Way when two men told him he had an oil leak.

When the pensioner got out of the car, one of the men hit him on the head and stole cash from him. He was not seriously injured.

The robbers are believed to have been in their 20s.

They both had scarves over their faces and wore dark clothing.
