West Belfast sex assault being investigated

Police are investigating an alleged sexual assault in west Belfast on Friday morning.

Shortly after 08:15 GMT, a woman in her 50s was assaulted by a man in the Glassmullan Gardens area.

The man was described as being in his mid 30s, about 5ft 8in tall, of slim to medium build.

He was wearing a black beanie hat pulled down over his eyebrows, a navy jacket, and blue jeans. He walked off towards Tullymore Gardens afterwards.

The woman received minor injuries and was left badly shaken as a result of the attack.
