Security alert is west Belfast declared a hoax

A security alert in the Glencolin area of west Belfast has been declared a hoax.

A number of people had to be moved from their homes during the alert.

Army technical officers were tasked to the scene and carried out a controlled explosion on the suspicious object.

All roads have reopened and residents have been allowed to return to their homes.
