Pipe bomb thrown at police in Belfast
A pipe bomb has been thrown at a police vehicle in the Culmore Gardens area of west Belfast.
It was thrown at 19:30 GMT on Monday whilst police were attending a call which they now believe was a hoax.
The device did not explode and no-one was injured.
Councillor Tim Attwood said a number of residents had been forced to leave their homes.
