Cyclist critically injured in Lisburn crash

A cyclist has been critically injured in a road accident in Lisburn.

It happened on Sunday morning on the Old Ballynahinch Road in the city. The cyclist was involved in a collision with a car.

Part of the road closed after the accident has reopened.

Meanwhile, a woman in her 40s has been seriously injured in an accident just across the Irish border in Lifford, County Donegal. She was struck by a car at about 19:00 GMT on Friday.

The woman is being treated at Altnagelvin Hospital in Londonderry.
