Trio with hatchet and gun rob Forkhill credit union

A credit union in south Armagh has been robbed by three men, one armed with a handgun and another with a hatchet.

The incident happened at about 19:30 GMT on Friday at Main Street in Forkhill.

The three masked robbers threatened staff before making of with cash. It is believed they escaped in a silver Volkswagen Golf.

Police have appealed for anyone with any information about the robbery to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
