Man arrested over murder of Stephen Hanaphy in Ardee

A man has been arrested in County Louth in connection with the murder of a 20-year-old man in 2010.

Stephen Hanaphy died following a shooting at a house in Ardee on 29 October 2010.

Gardai arrested a man in his 20s at a house in Dunleer on Thursday. Cannabis plants worth an estimated 3,200 euros were also seized.

The arrest is the ninth in connection with Mr Hanaphy's death.

A large quantity of illegal cigarettes, along with illegal alcohol and various distilling equipment, were also recovered by Irish police during searches at a second property.
