A 23-year-old woman is due to appear in court charged with the manslaughter of Coleraine pensioner, Bertie Acheson.

Mr Acheson, 72, was assaulted after he confronted an intruder in his Glenmore Gardens home on 30 April.

He suffered a heart attack during the burglary, which detectives said was brought on by stress.

The woman, who was arrested in the Antrim area on Monday, is due to appear at Ballymena Magistrates Court on Thursday.
