Pair arrested over Cookstown stabbing

Two men have been arrested after a 33-year-old man was stabbed in Cookstown, County Tyrone.

The attack took place at a house in Killymoon Street and was reported to police shortly before 22:25 GMT on Monday.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment for injuries that have been described as serious but not life-threatening at this stage.

The arrested men, aged 22 and 30, are helping police with their inquiries.

Detectives have appealed to anyone with information about the attack to contact them.
