Man treated in hospital after inhaling smoke

A 32-year-old man has been taken to hospital after he was rescued by the Fire Service from a house in Newtownards, County Down.

Fire crews were called to the property in Greenwell Place shortly after 21:00 GMT on Saturday.

After being removed from the house, the man was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment for smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
