Crossbow is fired at man in flat in Antrim

A man has escaped injury after a crossbow bolt was fired at him in his flat in Antrim town.

Two men wearing balaclavas and dark clothes forced their way into the flat at Elmdale at about 21:00 GMT on Monday.

They fired the crossbow at the man, but missed. He was then able to force them out of the flat.

The two attackers escaped on foot. Police have appealed for anyone who saw the men to contact them.
