Arrest over Lisburn Road, Belfast, robbery attempt

A man has been arrested after an attempted robbery in south Belfast involving a man armed with a crossbow and a hammer.

The incident happened at a shop on the Lisburn Road at about 21:50 GMT on Thursday.

It is not believed that anything was taken during the robbery attempt and no-one was injured.

A 31-year-old man was arrested at the scene and is currently being questioned by police.
