Antrim attack: Man's knees broken with baseball bats

A man has suffered two suspected broken kneecaps after being attacked in his house in Antrim.

Two men broke into the victim's house at Islay Street on the town's Springfarm estate shortly after 22:00 BST on Thursday.

They beat the 38-year-old with baseball bats. As well as his kneecaps, he is believed to have a broken jaw.

The pair left with a number of items including the victim's mobile phone. The injured man remains in hospital.

Police have appealed for information.
