Larne fire: Man charged with arson endangering life

A 28-year-old man has been charged with arson endangering life following a house fire in County Antrim.

Six people, including two children, were in the house in Elizabeth Avenue in Larne when the fire started at about 22:00 BST on Friday.

The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) were called to the scene but all six people had managed to escape before firefighters arrived.

A police spokesman said no-one was seriously injured in the fire.

The man is due to appear before Coleraine Magistrates Court on Monday.
