Four held over house gun incident

Police have arrested four men after a gunman tried to force his way into a house in Newtownabbey.

It happened on Doagh Road on Tuesday morning when a woman heard a bang on her back door. She did not open it and the man fled in a car with others.

Four men, three of whom are believed to be aged 27 and the other 24, were detained when police stopped a car on the Andersonstown Road in west Belfast.

The car has been seized for examination.
