Police drop investigation into rape report in south Belfast

Police have said they are no longer investigating a report that a woman in her 20s was raped in the Stranmillis area of south Belfast.

It had been reported that an incident happened shortly before 02:00 BST on Wednesday.

Officers cordoned off Friar's Bush graveyard on the Stranmillis Road.

Police said that after further enquiries, detectives from the PSNI's Rape Crime Unit were no longer investigating.
