Man released in dissident republican paramilitary investigation

A man who was arrested as part of an investigation into dissident republican activity and paramiltary attacks has been released.

The 26 year old was detained in the Belfast area earlier on Wednesday by the Police Service of Northern Ireland's Serious Crime Branch.

He was then taken to Antrim PSNI station for questioning.

On Wednesday afternoon, a PSNI spokesman said the man had been "released unconditionally".
