Lisburn teenager Scott Vineer critical after assault

A teenager found unconscious in Lisburn on Friday is in a critical condition in hospital.

Scott Vineer, 17, was found lying in the grounds of a disused furniture showroom close to the Lagan towpath.

Police said he had been the victim of a serious assault. He is being treated for head injuries.

He was last seen leaving his college in Lisburn on Thursday afternoon. The police have appealed for information.

Detectives are attempting to establish his movements between 15:00 BST on Thursday and 22:00 BST on Friday when he was found in the disused showroom.

Scott is described as 6ft 3in tall, heavy build, clean shaven with short dark hair.

He was wearing a dark, hooded jacket with a blue T-shirt underneath, dark trousers and a dark beanie hat with an emblem on the front.
