Woman hit with glass on Ormeau Road, south Belfast

A man has been arrested after a woman was hit with a glass in south Belfast in the early hours of Sunday.

The 26-year-old woman was hit on the eye with a glass on the Ormeau Road at about 01:50 BST.

She sustained a swollen eye and cuts. A 31-year-old man is being questioned on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the attack to contact them.
