Police search after west Belfast mortar report

A police search in the Glen Road area of west Belfast on Thursday evening has ended.

The search was carried out in connection with a reported mortar and gun attack on police in the early hours of Friday last week.

A PSNI spokesperson said nothing untoward was found during the search.

However, police have repeated their advice to the public not to move or touch any suspicious objects they may come across in the area.
