Woman is raped in Limavady alleyway

A woman in her 20s has been attacked and raped in County Londonderry.

It happened in an alleyway near Catherine Street in Limavady shortly after 02:00 BST on Sunday.

Her attacker was in his 20s, about 5ft 9in tall, with short, brown spiky hair.

He was wearing a blue shirt with rolled up sleeves, narrow legged cream chinos and had a rubber charity band on his right arm. The police have appealed for information.

A PSNI spokesperson asked anyone who witnessed the attack or who recognised the man from his description to contact officers on 0845 600 8000 or ring the Crimestoppers charity anonymously.
