Item found on plane at St Angelo airport in Enniskillen

A suspicious object has been found on a plane at St Angelo Airport near Enniskillen, County Fermanagh.

The police have said "it was found to be nothing untoward".

It was examined by Army bomb disposal experts who were called to the small regional airport at 20:00 BST on Monday.

The object was found on a small plane registered in England but based at St Angelo.

Initially, airport sources indicated it was a viable explosive device.

The main Enniskillen to Kesh road was closed during the alert.
