Men arrested following three armed robberies in Lisburn

Two 28-year-old men have been arrested in connection with a spate of armed robberies in Lisburn.

The alleged offences took place in the Longstone Street, Hillsborough Road and Old Warren areas on Thursday evening.

One of the men has been charged with three counts of armed robbery and is due to appear at Lisburn Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

The other man is helping police with their inquiries.

A police spokeman said the charges wiould be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
