The airline Flybe has confirmed that it will not be renewing its flight from City of Derry airport to Charles De Gaulle Airport in Paris this summer.

The Paris route, via Manchester, was launched in May last year.

However, the airline told BBC's Radio Foyle on Friday that the route was "regrettably not viable".

It had been hoped the route would bring visitors to NI from Paris, as well as providing a gateway to northern Europe for local travellers.
