Three held in badger baiting investigation in Northern Ireland

Three men have been arrested as part of an investigation into badger baiting in Northern Ireland.

A number of properties in the Banbridge and south Armagh area were searched as part of 'Operation Meles', the investigation into badger baiting across the country.

A number of items, including firearms and ammunition were seized.

Two dogs, who appeared to have suffered injuries were also recovered.

The men, aged 39, 21 and 42, were arrested in south Belfast, east Belfast and north Down.
