Man released over Mackin murder

A 27-year-old man arrested on Monday in connection with the murder of Christopher Mackin has been released unconditionally.

The 31-year-old died after being shot up to four times at College Square North in Belfast on Thursday.

On Tuesday, a husband and wife were remanded in custody charged with the murder of Mr Mackin.

They are Charles Stephen Valliday, 40, and Julie-Ann Valliday, 35, of Powerscourt Place, Belfast.

A 24-year-old woman arrested over the murder was also released unconditionally.
