Men with hatchet 'chased teens' in Strathfoyle, Londonderry
Two men wielding hatchets have chased young teenagers through a street in Londonderry.
It happened at Dereen Drive, off Clonmeen Drive, Strathfoyle, at about 21:50 GMT on Friday.
Officers used a taser gun on a 44-year-old man who remains in custody. A second man was also arrested but later released on police bail.
Given that a taser gun was used, the incident has been reported to the police ombudsman, as is normal.
Sinn Fein councillor Paul Fleming said: "It was potentially a very serious incident. Thankfully no-one was seriously injured and the PSNI were able to disarm the situation."
