Johnathon Rossborough charged with north Belfast attack

A 29-year-old Newtownabbey man has been charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent during an attack in north Belfast.

Johnathon Rossborough, of Armoy Gardens, is charged with the assault on a man at Alliance Parade in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The victim, a man in his 20s, suffered serious head injuries and is in a serious, but stable, condition in hospital.

Mr Rossborough was remanded in custody.

He is also accused of assault occasioning actual bodily harm to a second man and faces two further counts of common assault against another two alleged victims.

Belfast Magistrates' Court heard he is expected to apply for bail next week.

The accused was remanded in custody to appear again by video link on 9 January.
