Elderly woman assaulted in her north Belfast home

A woman in her eighties has been taken to hospital after being attacked in her north Belfast home.

Two young people entered the house in Agnes Street, between the Crumlin Road and Shankill Road, at about 20:00 BST on Friday.

The pensioner was left badly shaken and was treated for cuts and bruising.

It is not yet known if anything was stolen from the house.
