Al Hutchinson NI Police Ombudsman to quit early

The Northern Ireland Police Ombudsman, Al Hutchinson, is to quit his post earlier than planned following the publication of a highly critical report.

The Criminal Justice Inspectorate said the office's operational independence had been lowered, and that Mr Hutchinson had lost the trust of senior colleagues.
