Alert ends at College Square East in Belfast

A bomb alert in Belfast city centre has ended.

College Square East was closed for a time while police examined a suspicious object.

Motorists and members of the public were advised to avoid the area.

The alert ended shortly after 1900 GMT. Nothing suspicious was found.
