Murder inquiry launched in Armagh after man found dead

Detectives in Armagh city have begun a murder inquiry after a man's body was found on Friday.

It is understood the man, who was 32, was found at an apartment on Castle Street near the Church of Ireland cathedral at 1200 BST.

Forensic teams were at the scene on Friday night. A post-mortem examination is to be carried out.

Armagh councillor Mealla Campbell said the community had been left shocked by the killing.
