Moy man's Australian exploits to be recognised at home

If asked to name a famous person from County Tyrone it might be a while before the name 'John King' was suggested.
But on the other side of the world this man from Moy is something of a super star.
In 1860 he was the sole survivor of one of the most dramatic and famous expeditions in Australian history.
In Melbourne, the Burke and Wills expedition is the stuff of legend.
Tomorrow will see the culmination of a campaign to have John King's stature recognised here at home.
Our District journalist Gordon Adair has been listening to a remarkable tale.
