Students targeted by online accommodation scammers

Help

A Russian based internet scam is trying to cheat students from here out of hundreds of pounds.

It is trying to tempt young people looking to rent properties for the next academic year to part with their cash by money transfer.

But the properties available on the computer screens don't exist.

The advice from the experts is that you should find your flat the old-fashioned way.

That is visit it in person and meet your future landlord.
