Man injured during attack in Downpatrick

A man has been taken to hospital after being attacked in Downpatrick.

At about 0145 BST on Saturday, the 22-year-old was assaulted by a gang and suffered head and face injuries, including broken teeth.

It is believed the attackers got out of a silver car.

Fountain Street in the town has now reopened after being closed between Kennedy Square and Scotch Street.
