Cyclist dies after crash with pedestrian in North Yorkshire

A 77-year-old man on a bike has died after a crash involving a pedestrian in North Yorkshire.

Police said the collision occurred on Follifoot Lane, near Kirkby Overblow, at 13:40 BST on Wednesday.

The cyclist, from Leeds, was flown by air ambulance to hospital where he later died.

The pedestrian, a 72-year-old man from Harrogate, was taken to Harrogate District Hospital where he was treated before being released.
